After Google Chrome another update on some or all pages started appearing browser error: Aw, Snap! Google Chrome ran out of memory while trying to display this web page. This lack of a memory error occurs most often in the pages with large images. This error can occur when a large amount of free RAM in normal mode and also in incognito mode.
To solve the problem with the lack of memory, try:
- clear the cache;
- disable hardware acceleration.
Disable hardware acceleration in Google Chrome
Open the Google Chrome menu and select Options.
In the browser options, click the Show advanced settings link
The block System, remove the tick from the Use Hardware Acceleration (if available).
After removing the bird appears on the need to restart Chrome. Click on the link in the message.
After the reboot, most likely you will not see an error page: Aw, Snap! Google Chrome ran out of memory while trying to display this web page.

Most people here are clueless and wasting our time with stupid solutions that none works. The problem is not how to get around with some medicine man as a workaround, I can refresh the page and I am OK for a while. The PROBLEM IS TO FIX IT at the root of the software. And that’s for Google to address this bug.
They provide workaround so you move on, They don’t provide solution as a fix.
This is a Chrome bug and Google has to fix it.
I have 8 GB of memory that is plenty for Chrome to dynamically ask and get more memory if it needs some more but it fails to do so.
I like Novuses comment. I have many users and am getting tired of band aiding all the problems we’re having. We still have printing problems within chrome from more than a year ago, black blocky screens when changing tabs, and these aww snap messages. Chrome is getting so complex, it’s starting to fail in its’ basic uses.
